referer spam: so those russian & ukrainian fans aren't real. sigh.

Something around here smells pretty fishy.  A large number of my referring URLs look like they're coming from random Russian and Ukrainian sites, but when you click on them, you get places like Russian landscaping companies advertising to put up Christmas trees around your building.  Really weird.

Turns out they're not real pageviews after all...welcome to "referer spam":
