Chicago Love: Lawrence Avenue, East to West

Dirt-cheap, fresh sushi inside.
It makes my day to find someone who is as geeked out about something Chicago-related - say, Lawrence Avenue - as I am.  So I was delighted to come across this this terrific post, submitted to Gapers Block in December 2010 by John Greenfield.  It's a valentine to Lawrence Avenue, cataloging its many wonders in a very long one-day hike extending from the lake all the way west to East River Road by O'Hare.  [Greenfield has made an avocation of hiking a number of Chicago's major streets and leaving their traces here.]

I greatly enjoyed reading about so many establishments we've either frequented (Sicilia Bakery, Lawrence Fish Market, Pupuseria Cuscatleco, The Dog House, Kims International Music, Noodles Party), or have driven by with a smile (Sexy Girls of the Hollywood).

Funny...'Sexy Girls of the Hollywood' Hahaha. Happy Monday...Clapton says 'Tuesday's just as bad'...'the eagle flies on Friday' and still, no one seems to mind that by Saturday it's mostly gone. I've discovered NASCAR as an alternative to news. Also any vehicle race or *meet* is bound to be more fun. Rin-rin; zoom-zoom. xoxoxo
